I recently spent some time at the John C. Campbell Folk school learning the art of paper marbling, everything from Japanese to Turkish techniques. My own technique won't win me any awards in the field... it is a bit sloppy and in some cases, rushed (sometimes the paint would break up in my tray and I wanted to get it onto the paper before it dissolved and fell to the bottom!), but overall I am pleased with the result.
More importantly is the inspiration my teacher, Pat Thomas, gifted to me with her talent, humor and fortitude.
Interesting shapes with a lovely organic flow.
